Waffle kingdom exit

The thief who was watching the young man leave the bathroom decided to walk towards the women's bathroom, when he tried to open the door he realized that it was closed so he started shooting with his weapon.

Robert who was advancing through the ventilation tunnel could only try to move faster towards the exit, the thief who had shot at the door hit it with his foot but it refused to open.

So the thief in a state of anger fired the entire magazine of his weapon on the door, although this lasted only a few seconds, it was enough for the door to give way and open.

When the thief entered, he looked at the destroyed women's bathroom, however it was because he made a mess with his bullets that he did not notice the hole in the ceiling because his bullets had destroyed a large number of ceiling panels.

From what he supposed that the missing panel was due to his shooting, what he did not know was that one of his bullets had perforated one of Robert's feet who, clenching his hands, endured the pain because he did not want to alarm anyone.

When the thief left the women's bathroom, Robert kept moving forward until he could hear his daughter "Dad, I can't go any further since there's a screen."

Robert took a deep breath before touching the foot of the woman in front of him. "Do you think you can help my daughter open the ventilation screen?"

The woman could only nod as she advanced through the narrow tunnel to where Lisa was, due to the small size of the woman she was able to accommodate herself so that she could hit the ventilation grill with her hands.

This lasted a couple of minutes that felt like an eternity because the exchange of shots between the thieves and the police in front of the premises had begun, despite that the woman did everything possible until her grate fell to the ground.

With the grate down, the woman poked her head in and realized that she was in a small back room where the trash cans and cleaning supplies were, however the most important thing was the door that was open and led to the outside.

Doing her best she started to go down until she fell completely into the garbage cans, where the black bags cushioned her fall, enduring the horrible aroma she got up and helped Lisa down from the ventilation tunnel.

When Lisa went down it was Robert's turn who simply advanced until he reached the entrance from where he threw himself into the garbage, as he fell he endured the pain in his leg and gave a smile to his daughter who was being carried by the women.

"Thank you very much for holding my daughter, I don't think I can do it right now as I'm sure the bullet went through part of my foot bone."

The woman shook her head and after helping Robert they left the small room at the back of the premises where some patrol cars were a few meters away. The police saw three civilians come out from the back.

They wasted no time and began to advance to rescue them, since all the firepower was at the front, the rescue could be done without many complications, so Robert could be treated in an ambulance.

While a paramedic was checking his wound, Robert hugged his daughter who hadn't stopped grabbing her stuffed animal.

"Don't worry Lisa, we made it out and now we just need to go to the hospital to check out dad's leg."

Lisa couldn't hold back her tears and she started to cry as a woman in black clothes approached where Robert was.

"Mr. Robert, I am FBI agent Amanda, sorry to bother you while they are checking his leg, but I have some questions to ask you.

To begin with, his name is Robert Adams and his daughter is Lisa Adams?"

Robert nodded while stroking his daughter's back "So it's official I'm 25 years old and my daughter is 4 years old, I'm originally from New Jersey and my daughter was born in New York, we moved to Chicago a while ago due to the divorce with my ex wife."

Amanda nodded as she checked her tablet "According to Emily's testimony, the woman who helped her escape, mentioned that you and her daughter entered the bathroom moments after the robbers started shooting.

Can you tell us what happened?"

Robert sighed as he winced a few times at the pain in his leg. "We entered the premises at approximately 8:35 and ordered some breakfast when a group of three thieves entered.

At that moment they focused completely on the woman they were serving, seeing how they acted I knew immediately that they were just a group of people who didn't know how to steal because they were nervous.

Unfortunately in New York I was mugged a few times and I can tell when a thief is nervous or when he has experience, so I made the dangerous decision to sneak into the women's bathroom.

Where I found Miss Emily who reported the theft with her cell phone, later I took my daughter and Emily up the ventilation duct from where we went to the storage room.

However, it was during this process that one of the thieves shot randomly in the women's bathroom, so a bullet managed to hit me in the leg.

The rest I think you already know because you saved us from that damn place."

Amanda, who had heard everything, could only feel a little sorry for Robert "I am very grateful for his testimony, Mr. Robert, but for security reasons I will accompany him to the hospital until the surveillance videos are released.

We have also contacted his ex-wife to inform her about this situation but she mentioned that you could take care of everything since she is busy on a tour in Europe."

Robert could feel her daughter tremble so he sighed as he hugged her tighter "She's always busy with her work, that's why we got divorced in the first place but I guess none of that matters.

I only have one question, agent Amanda, the cost of my injuries and the hospital who will absorb it?"

Amanda scratched her cheek "Because the wound on her leg was made by one of the thieves the costs will be covered by the state who will charge the relatives of the thieves, so you don't have to worry about anything." ."

After this, Robert and his daughter were taken to the ambulance, which took them to the nearest hospital, while a woman in her 50s on television watched with interest the exchange of shots in the waffle kingdom.

"To think that no matter what happens, Americans never cease to amaze me…"

Her words were interrupted when she could see how on television they were reporting on the rescue of three people who managed to get out of the building, when she could hear the name of Robert Adams a smile formed on her mouth before looking at a photo at your table.

"I guess old man Adams' grandson was very lucky, I should visit him at the hospital to see how he is doing."
