Questions and Heartbeat

“You’re with his child?” Katerina asked, repeating Lilian’s words; her eyes popping out as her hands travelled slowly towards Lilian’s belly.

“He’s responsible for the baby inside me, I didn't want to tell you on phone, that’s why I just told you I was pregnant without revealing who’s responsible,” Lilian replied, she had a frown on her face.

Any time the conversation was about Tony, she was always frowning. Everyday, her dislike for him grows for no reason, and she doesn't really care.

“You were pregnant for him and you didn’t know up until now?” Katerina hadn’t recovered from her shock, thoughts danced in her head.

“Just like I told you on the phone, this isn’t the normal kind of pregnancy mum, it’s a cryptic one. I had no idea I was pregnant until yesterday.” Lilian clarified, rolling her eyes. She was actually frustrated about the fact that there was nothing she could do about the baby.

But it was either she gave it to couples who needed it or she gave it to Tony, although sh
