Chapter 114 - A Letter Truly Written (by Maartje)

After a few minutes immersed in her tears, Maartje then wiped her eyes.

She approached the small table next to the bed and picked up the telephone receiver, dialing a number.

"Lady, is there anything I can do?" From the other end, the voice of a sixty-year-old man sounded.

"Please come here!"

Shortly afterward, a light knocking sound was heard at the door. The sound was so light that it was almost inaudible.

When Maartje opened the door, she saw the figure she had seen in the inn lobby earlier. It was the innkeeper standing before her, bowing his head. "Forgive me for not welcoming you earlier, Lady!"
