A Walk

Golden sunset rays punctured the towers of the soaring Palace. The breeze of the concluding afternoon gently blew past Ares and Eurydice as they meandered in the empty streets. Everyone was busy cleaning up the stadium, therefore, not a single maid could be seen running around errands. Only a few guards were stationed in the key points of the Palace for security.

Ares followed the Queen from behind, gazing at her airy, bouncing azure locks. He noticed something sticking out of her head and decided to break the silence. "I didn't notice you had a horn." 

Eurydice turned around. The moment her sharp eyelashes fluttered and her crimson irises fixated on him- made his chest skip a beat. Eurydice brings her finger near to her head and slowly hides her horns with her hair.
