CHAPTER 51

“Yes, you are right.” Rose let out a bleak smile, her face still contorted with worry.

“But what influence does he have? How could he possibly help us? He is just an errand boy from what I heard when I visited the event where he was humiliated with some others.”

“Well, not anymore,” Rose responded.

“Get me my bag over there, will you?” Rose asked and Brody got the bag.

While she was gasping for breath, she picked up her phone and dialed Alan’s number.

The hits to the elevator wall were coming harder and faster. Alan had to come through for them even though Rose couldn't possibly fathom how he was going to do it. She just had a blind belief that if she could reach out to Alan, something would be done.
