CLEAN UP

Alexander was stunned. He never expected that something he said with innocent intentions would result in the emotional outburst that Blessing just displayed.

“Please excuse me for a moment Alexander. Let me get a mop and clean this” Mary stood up then left the dining room to go get what she needed.

Turns out that when Blessing stood up and angrily left the dining room, she had, by accident, knocked her glass of water from the table, spilling its liquid contents all over the floor.

Not only that, but the cup had even shattered on impact with the floor, making that spot very dangerous for unprotected feet and as such in urgent need of proper cleaning.

“I’ll just clean this and—“ Mary said as she returned to the dining room with not just the mop but a broom and dustpan as well. She, however, froze when to her surprise she saw Alexander picking the broken pieces of glass on the floor.
