Rise Up

While DK was gone, everyone was at the restroom. Diana noticed DK leaving and let down her hair, reaching for Haikyu's hand. However, Haikyu, angered by her behavior, pulled away from her grasp and walked aside.

Tinni blurted out teasing, "Did you really spike her drink?" glancing at Tommy. Diana retorted, "Do you honestly believe I would stoop so low as to drug you two trash?"

Tinni approached her angrily, "You filthy bitch..." but Haikyu stepped in, saying, "Oh, this isn't your dump street to rule. This is a palace where princesses reside."

Behind Haikyu, Diana smirked at Tinni, reaching out to touch Haikyu and call him.

As Haikyu turned to light a cigarette, Diana snatched it from his mouth and began smoking. Suddenly, Simp started shouting, "What did you do to Tommy?"

Diana sighed in frustration, "How many times do I have to tell you? And one more thing, I didn't invite her to dinner." Simp sat on the floor, and Diana raised her foot towards Simp, saying softly, "Don't forget who your god is."

But Tommy began vomiting again.

Diana exclaimed, "Why on earth did you drink so much wine?" before storming off, pushing Tinni aside and heading upstairs to smoke.

Tinni seethed with anger towards both Haikyu and Diana. Haikyu also left, telling Tinni, "Go bark in the filthy streets." Tinni stared darkly as Haikyu walked away.

In the room, there were Rose, Simp, Boston, Tinni, and Tommy. Tinni glanced at Rose, who caught her stare and snapped, "What, you creep."

Tinni innocently responded, "Did I say something?"

Rose retorted, "Your eyes reveal the monster within you... Don't even think about me."

Tinni teased, "Why, are you afraid?"

Rose countered, "Can you afford diamonds? How could you afford me?" Then she walked over to Tommy.

Upstairs, Diana stood on the balcony, smoking and watching the stars, wrestling with her inner demons. Suddenly, she groaned in frustration.

Behind her, Haikyu observed silently before she noticed him and called out.

Approaching her, Haikyu asked, "Are you in love with DK?"

Diana scoffed, "You think I'd be interested in a nerd like him?"

Haikyu persisted, "He's not a nerd, is he? I think you're just avoiding--" Before he could finish, she kissed him passionately, silencing him.

After a moment, Diana warned, "If you bring that up again, I'll take your tongue."

Haikyu remained silent, smiling slightly.

Diana walked away slowly, smirking to herself, thinking, "Aghh...

Just one kiss to shut him up... Perfect."

She entered her and DK's room, searching for a medicine kit. Rifling through drawers and tables, she stumbled upon DK's drawer filled with papers and files. Initially dismissing them as his department files, she noticed the hospital's name on some papers, piquing her curiosity about why he visited the hospital daily. As she delved deeper into the papers, her phone rang, interrupting her search.

Answering the call, a man informed her, "Ma'am, I found something regarding your mother, as you requested."

Confused, Diana asked, "I'm sorry, what?"

The man clarified, "It's only been five days, but you already forgot? Information about your mother. We met at the airport, and you instructed me to act as a detective."

Diana nodded, "Alright, I remember now. What did you find out about my mother?"

Excitedly, the man replied, "Something significant. We should meet, and I'll give you the files containing everything about your mother."

Diana smirked and agreed, "Okay. Tomorrow at..."

In her haste, she left behind DK's files but grabbed the medicine kit, pondering for a moment before slipping one of DK's papers into her handbag. She then hurried downstairs.

As Diana descended the stairs, DK arrived home with the medicines. In the living hall, everyone was gathered, and Tommy appeared to be back to normal. DK approached Tommy, offering her a tablet.

Tommy waved it off, saying, "No, I don't need it now. I think I'm fine."

DK persisted, "Are you sure? The nurse mentioned your vomiting could be due to a drink, oily food, or possibly pregnancy."

Diana burst into laughter at the mention of pregnancy, teasing, "Are you pregnant?"

Tommy rolled her eyes, replying, "Don't be ridiculous. It was probably just from the drinks. I had a bit too much."

After some rest, they decided it was time to leave. DK handed Tinni his car keys and bid them farewell.

After they left and the door closed, Diana sighed, "Ah, finally, some peace."

She looked at DK and apologized, "I'm sorry for what my friends did."

DK waved it off, "It's okay."

As he turned to leave, a paper fell from his pocket. Diana caught it and asked, "Did this fall from your pocket? Is it from the traffic department?"

DK turned back quickly, snatching it from her hand. Diana chuckled, "Alright, I'll give it back to you. No need to be so jumpy."

Teasingly, DK replied, "Well, you might tear it."

Diana smirked, "Oh, you caught that, did you?"

[Past]

"The sound of footsteps echoed through the temple as Dunter entered, his face etched with frustration, dry lips, and watery eyes, holding a burning candle.

Inside, he found the statue of the god and sank down in front of it, tears streaming down his face. "God, why do you always make my life so difficult? How many times must I come to this same place and pray to find peace?" he cried out.

Outside, the weather matched his turmoil, with the sky rumbling and wind howling.

Placing his candle before the statue, he whispered, "I think this will be our final meeting. From now on, I won't beg for a better life. If I collected all my tears, they would surely form an ocean – salty, lonely, dark, and mysterious." With that, he stood and began to walk away. As he left, a storm surged, extinguishing all the flickering candles.

From that day onward, Dunter ceased dwelling on the notion of God's intervention in his life. However, walking the path of blood didn't mean he had forsaken his belief in a power of devine. He simply recognized that God had orchestrated his life's narrative from the beginning, and there was no reason for divine interference. He understood that God had no obligation to alter His plan or protect his enemies;

Now not even God could save them.

Instead, Dunter chose to focus on a rebirth of sorts. He glanced at his hand, once marked with a destined path, now devoid of any traces. Understanding that a erased destiny line couldn't be restored, he resolved to forge a new path. Just as a burned painting couldn't be repaired, he knew he could create a new masterpiece. Thus, he dedicated himself to crafting a magnificent plan – a new drawing – for his future. Day and night, he poured his energy into this endeavor, striving for glory.

He completed his education at a public school and then pursued police training with unwavering determination. Despite relinquishing thoughts of divine intervention, fate seemed to smile upon him. He passed the law enforcement exam and successfully completed the background check.

And so, he began to rise.

RISE UP

And seek the glory in your life

RISE UP

And leave the past behind

RISE UP, RISE UP

There's always a rise after a fall

Killing all my enemies, battling through it all

If the battle don't work, I'll go higher than the war

Cutting through flesh to find my glory

In their pieces, I'll re create my story

RISE UP

And reach your destination

RISE UP, RISE UP

Conquer every obstacle in your way

RISE UP

No one was included in his plan to his war.

"[Morning]

Diana woke up to find DK absent from their bed. Spotting a note from him, she read, "Had morning work, didn't want to disturb you, so I left without waking you."

Smiling, Diana placed the note on the table and proceeded to the bathroom. After a refreshing shower, she brushed her teeth, dried her hair, and neatly tied it up.

Making her way to the small temple inside the house, Diana stood before the statue of the goddess Devi.

Meanwhile, DK stepped out from his Rolls-Royce and entered his department, greeted by respectful salutes from his colleagues. Smiling back, he acknowledged them before his assistant informed him of Rose's arrival.

Hurrying to his private office, DK settled into his chair as Rose entered. She was an elderly woman involved in an old case.

Rose inquired, "Any progress on the case? I imagine it's challenging due to its age."

DK smiled reassuringly, "It's not as difficult as it seems. I have a good idea of what transpired that day. Could you provide more information about him?"

Rose nodded, "Certainly. Although it's been years, I still remember his face. He attended Titan Private Boarding School and had recently started dating my friend's daughter. They were deeply in love and often met at our dinner gatherings."

DK probed further, "How affluent was your friend? The motive could stem from their wealth."

Rose smiled, "Ah, I appreciate your optimism, calling it a murder. Initially, it was ruled as a suicide. My friend is wealthy, being the CEO of a fashion company."

DK noted, "Interesting. I'll ensure the investigation doesn't end with suicide. It was reported that he had taken drugs through injection."

Tears welled up in Rose's eyes as she vehemently denied, "No, he never touched drugs. You can check his medical records."

Concerned, DK asked, "Are you still in touch with your friend and her daughter?"

Rose sighed, "Not as much. I've been traveling abroad to find solace."

DK inquired, "Can you provide the names of your friend and her daughter?"

Rose struggled to recall, "Her name is Kaira, but I'm uncertain about her daughter's name. Something like 'Fairy,' but I can't recall."

DK reassured her, "That's alright. Take some rest and avoid stress. I'm fully committed to solving this case. I'll contact you if needed."

Grateful, Rose smiled, "Thank you. I admire your dedication."

As Rose left, DK murmured to himself, "I could solve this case in seconds, but everything has its time and I decide when it will spill and blast." Retrieving an expensive watch from his drawer which was inside of a plastic, he whispered, "You're my nuke and I am the one ordering you when to blast," before turning to gaze out at the cityscape from his chair.

Even though he doesn't actively think or rely on God, he still contemplates the existence of Goddess Devi – the divine entity with a thousand names, thousands of faces, and countless tasks and talents.

"Diana was lighting candles in front of the Devi statue, murmuring to herself as she did so. "Out of thousands of gods, why did he pick you? He must have seen some quality inside you, like me. I just want to thank you, God, for always making my life heavenly, even in this world of crap. My dream was to find a rich man and live luxuriously, and now I'm living in this whole palace, this mansion. Why, God, why? You always listen to me, like those poor people." She smiled until her expression suddenly turned bold and angry. With a punch to the floor, one candle fell, unnoticed as she continued, "I just have one big fear... DK shouldn't know about my past. If he finds out, you'll never see me again. Since you brought one rich officer into my life, I've been happy." She smiled again before her expression shifted once more. "Why an officer? Why is my life so hard, God? Why?" The candle ignited the curtains, but she ignored it until a security guard came to rescue her.

When she opened her eyes, she found herself lying on the balcony couch, with DK standing in front of her.

Diana woke up, and DK said, "Take a rest, babe. What were you doing in the temple while it was burning?"

Diana replied, "Babe, since you pray to her so much, I also started to in the morning. It's become like a daily routine."

DK responded, "Oh, babe, I love you even more now. But how did the fire start? It could have killed you. Are you okay now?"

Diana assured him, "Yes, I'm totally fine."

Relieved, DK said, "Thank God. I was so afraid and tense."

Diana comforted him, "Don't stress now, because I'm here for you."

DK said, "Babe, last time we were a bit busy, but now that we're free, I hope this thing will make you smile again."

Curious, Diana asked, "What now, babe?"

DK took something out of his pocket and unwrapped it. It was a nametag, the same one she had stumbled upon before, bearing the name "Dunter." As soon as she saw it, she became frustrated and tense.

DK added, "Babe, I noticed how shocked you were when you saw the nametag, so I decided to pick it up and give it to you. I hope it helps you feel better." Diana slowly looked towards him, her expression filled with fear. As their eyes met, she forced an awkward smile.

"Babe, I'm heading out now. I'll be busy for a few days working on a case," DK informed her.

Curious, Diana asked, "Which case, babe?"

DK replied, "It's a very old one... Actually, it's related to Titan Private Boarding School, the same one you attended. Do you remember?"

Diana tensed up. "Babe, what case?" she inquired.

DK answered, "The case of a boy named Nile."

Diana's eyes widened at the mention of the name, but she forced a smile and said, "I don't remember, babe. We must have been in different batches."

"Okay, babe, rest up, alright? I'm leaving now. Don't stress," DK said before leaving.

Once he was gone, Diana rushed to her room and grabbed her phone, frustrated and angry. She attempted to call a certain man repeatedly, but he didn't answer. In a fit of rage, she almost threw her phone but stopped herself and tossed it onto the bed.

Leaving the room, she passed by the temple room where the fire had started. Inside, she stood before the Devi statue and shouted, "Why, God, why? Just this morning, I came here to thank you, and now this happens? Are you trying to make my life hell?" Despite her anger, tears welled up in her eyes. After a moment, she composed herself and smiled bitterly. "Alright, if you're challenging me..."

Her phone began to ring. Assuming it was the man she had tried calling earlier, she hurried back to her room. However, when she checked her phone, she realized it was a call from the man she had met yesterday, the one who promised to give her a file containing information about her mother. Her expression changed upon seeing the call, but she answered it and arranged to meet him at a specific location.

As DK entered the bustling restaurant, every waiter greeted him with a "Good morning, sir," acknowledging him as the owner of the luxurious establishment. He noticed a mature man in a black suit sitting at table number 17 before heading into the kitchen. Inside, there was a flurry of activity – cooking, cleaning, dishwashing, and coordinating with waiters to ensure orders were served promptly. When a waiter announced that the pasta was ready for table number 17, DK intercepted him. "Good morning, sir," the waiter greeted. DK smiled and pointed out, "There's a stain on your back. How can you serve like this?" While the waiter turned to inspect, DK quickly made a subtle adjustment to the pasta before reassuring, "It's okay now. Go ahead."

Meanwhile, Diana arrived at a bridge in her clean black car. Spotting a man in a black hoodie, she approached and surprised him by uncovering his head. The man, named Simon, smiled upon seeing her. Before he could greet her, Diana cut him off, demanding, "I don't have time. Where's the file?" Simon calmly responded, "Calm down. It's right here," as he showed her the file. Diana extended her hand, insisting, "Give it to me now." However, Simon pulled the file back and quipped, "First money, then honey." Frustrated, Diana retorted, "You think I'm poor, dog." She opened her handbag and handed him two bundles of money. Simon examined the cash before handing her the file, noting, "I think your mother is dating someone. There are pictures inside." Diana smirked in response and said, "Okay," before he left. She then got into her car and closed the door.

[At The Restaurant]

In his private office, DK was interrupted by a waiter who informed him, "Sir, a customer is calling, claiming there's a toothpick on his plate."

DK nodded and followed the waiter, who specified, "It's the man at table number 17." DK assured him, "You go back to your work, I'll handle this." He then proceeded alone to meet the customer.

The customer complained, "There was a toothpick in my pasta. How could this happen? I always come to this restaurant expecting it to be hygienic."

Apologizing for the error, DK responded, "Sir, as the owner, I apologize for our slight mistake. It won't happen again. We'll order you another plate, on the house."

The man accepted the offer.

Sitting at the table with him, DK inquired, "Sir, since you mentioned you're a regular customer, I'd like to know about your experience here."

They engaged in a brief conversation before DK prepared to leave. He offered his card, stating, "Sir, I'm also a police officer. If you ever need assistance, don't hesitate to call me directly."

The customer, revealing himself as a fencing player, reciprocated by giving DK his card, saying, "If you ever need help, I teach fencing. Feel free to contact me."

Curious, DK stayed and revealed, "I'm a fencing player too. It's great to meet you."

The man was surprised, "Really? Fate seems to have brought us together as a strong duo."

DK replied, "You're an amazing rich man. I challenge you to a match."

With a smile, the man agreed, "Of course, tonight at 6 pm. Okay?"

DK smiled back, "Of course."

The man continued, "You look young and still productive, like a really grown-up man. You remind me of my son, who is also a pro at fencing."

DK responded, "Oh, nice. I think your whole family knows it."

The man laughed and extended his hand for a shake, saying, "I'm Halen Troup."

DK shook his hand and introduced himself, "People call me DK, so... I'm DK."

Halen laughed and said, "Okay, let's meet in the evening."

As DK walked away, he thought to himself, "It's nice to meet you, but it surely wasn't fate that brought us together."

Meanwhile, Diana got into her car and began calling the man she had previously contacted, not Simon, but another man.

Fortunately, he picked up Diana's call. Calmly, he said, "Wow, after a long time."

Diana responded, "Alberto... we need to talk."

Alberto retorted, "I'm busy. I'm not the old Alberto anymore. I'm a rich Alberto busy with my date."

Diana smirked at his words and countered, "Do you think I'm worried about your busyness? I know you've become rich, but I think you've forgotten cause of who you are here."

Alberto fired back, "You haven't changed. Don't forget, because of me, you're a free bird."

Diana challenged, "What if I told you they've started searching for that free bird, and because of that, you might end up in the lockers too?"

Alberto replied tensely, "What? When are we meeting?"

Diana smirked at his reaction.
