Chapter 306: The Next Day

"No, it's fine. I'll do it later. I'm going to sleep now," Benjamin stated as he began changing the bedsheet.

Observing Benjamin's actions, Cordelia felt a pang of guilt. She hadn't intended to dampen the mood.

After finishing, Benjamin noticed Cordelia's remorseful expression. He smiled and affectionately kissed her cheek, asking, "What's with that expression? I'm perfectly fine."

Cordelia, biting her lip, tentatively inquired, "Are you not mad at me?”

With a warm smile, Benjamin reassured her, "No, not at all." Cordelia nodded in relief, then fetched a night robe and settled beside Benjamin, resting her head on his chest.

Meanwhile, Rose had returned home and found her parents still awake. "You both aren't asleep? It's very late," she remarked.

Marshall smiled and explained, "I'm working, and your mom insists on waiting for me." He then glanced around Rose and inquired about Cordelia's whereabouts.
