Suzy was the one who picked up the phone to make the call. She dialled Amelia's number, her fingers trembling with anticipation. After a few rings, Amelia's warm voice filled the line. "Hello?"

"Amelia, it's Suzy," Suzy began hesitantly. "I was wondering if you and your baby would like to come over to our place today. Mom and I have something we'd like to talk to you about."

Amelia, surprised by the invitation, agreed. She had hoped for reconciliation with her family and was eager to see if this was the beginning of a fresh start. "Sure, Suzy. We'd love to come over. What time should we be there?"

Suzy quickly arranged a time, and they hung up. She then turned to her mo
