REJECTED NEGOTIATION

"Michael, is this really your house?"

Adelle was surprised when she saw the presence of a very large house in front of her.

Michael smiled and nodded his head.

"Yes, this is my house. We will live here, Adelle."

"This house is very big, Michael."

Adelle didn't expect that the house she would live in would be many times larger than her father's big house.

Michael looked at Adelle and held her hand, bringing her back from her reverie.

"Let's go inside now. Someone has been waiting for us since earlier, Adelle."

After that, Michael led Adelle into the house because he knew that Gracia was waiting for them inside.

"Welcome, my dear granddaughter Adelle."

Gracia hugged Adelle warmly. She looked very happy with the arrival of her grandson's wife.

"Nice to meet you, Mrs. Gracia. Thank you for welcoming me."

Adelle responded to Gracia's greeting politely, with a smile on her face.

"Hey, call me grandma. I am Rafael's grandmother, so you should call me that too."

However, Gracia felt annoyed because Adelle called her by another name instead of "grandma."

Michael smiled as he watched the interaction between Gracia and Adelle, which seemed so close.

"Okay, grandma, thank you for your welcome."

Adelle also felt happy because Gracia was so kind to her. She had previously thought that Gracia might be an old woman with a tough attitude.

"Rafael, I will take Adelle to the room. Meet Aden, he's been looking for you since earlier."

Gracia signaled to Michael, knowing that he had business with Aden about Kevin.

"Okay, grandma. I entrust Adelle to you."

Then, Michael walked towards Adelle and looked at his wife's face.

"You will be safe here, no one will harm you. While I'm gone, grandma will accompany you, Adelle. Trust her."

Adelle nodded her head, understanding Michael's words.

"What are you going to do, anyway?"

"I have some business to attend to, and I'll be back soon, Adelle. Have fun with Grandma, I have to go now."

After saying that, Michael left Adelle and Gracia behind.

"Are you worried, Adelle?"

Gracia asked Adelle that question, noticing the anxiety on her face.

"Yes, Grandma. I'm afraid that someone might have bad intentions towards Michael."

Adelle answered Gracia's question honestly. In truth, she was quite afraid that her family might plan something bad for her husband.

"No, you don't have to worry about Rafael. He'll be fine, Adelle. If anything happens to him, I'm the first person who will protect him."

Gracia tried to calm Adelle down with her words. She knew that her grandson had a clever mind and could protect himself.

"Yes, Grandma. I trust you."

"Of course, you should trust me and your husband, Adelle."

After that, there was a moment of silence for a while. Until finally, Gracia asked Adelle another question.

"Adelle, you have to change your way of addressing your husband from now on. Because his real name is Rafael, not Michael."

Gracia emphasized the sentence to Adelle, indicating to her that her husband's real name is Rafael, not Michael.

Adelle smiled and shook her head.

"No, Grandma. I love him as a simple man named Michael. So, let me call him by that name."

Outside, Michael was in the car with Aden, Gracia's assistant.

"Sir, as you said yesterday. Kevin is the owner of a quite large property company and Aldebaran company is one of the companies that work with him. In addition, Kevin has businesses in the culinary and tourism destinations sectors, Sir."

Aden told Michael all the information about Kevin. He also showed some news articles to Michael, which talked about Kevin.

Michael accepted all the information, then read it one by one.

"Actually, I don't want to waste time dealing with him. But because he has bothered my wife, then I have to retaliate, Aden."

A few moments later, Michael had finished reading the information provided by Aden.

"So, what are you going to do now, Sir?"

Aden asked Michael while looking at his boss.

"Take me to Kevin's company, Aden. I want to meet him and negotiate. If he's willing to settle things peacefully, he and I can be friends. But if he's not, then I'll ask you to proceed with the second plan and make him regret it."

Michael looked serious with his statement. It seems that he is really confident with his plan now.

Aden nodded his head, after hearing Michael's command.

"Okay, I understand, Sir."

Aden drove his car out of the parking area. After getting information that Kevin was currently at his company.

About 15 minutes later, Aden and Michael arrived at Kevin's company. At that time, Michael decided to directly meet Kevin in his room, alone.

"Kevin, I think you know me."

Michael entered Kevin's room, after getting permission from Kevin's secretary.

Hearing someone's voice, Kevin turned his head towards the door and saw Michael's presence there.

"Oh, Adelle's husband. Of course, I still remember you, Michael. You're the one who ruined my marriage with Adelle."

Kevin immediately provoked Michael's anger with his words.

Michael approached Kevin and stood right in front of him.

"I command you to withdraw your offer to help Alexander now, Kevin. I am furious that you used my wife as collateral in your offer."

Upon hearing Michael's words, Kevin suddenly laughed.

"Why should I listen to you? You're just a poor man, Michael. If you let go of Adelle, she would be happier with me."

Michael smiled mysteriously.

"It appears that you are not aware of who I am, Kevin. Don't you know my true identity?"

"Sorry, Michael. I'm too busy and I don't want to find out about you. As far as I know, you're just a poor man."

As Kevin continued to insult Michael by referring to him as a poor man, Michael decided to take a different approach.

"I came here to negotiate, Kevin, in order to prevent you from pursuing Adelle any further. Alright, I'll do it another way. Wait five minutes, and your fate will change."

Kevin only laughed in response to Michael's threat.

However, Michael no longer cared. He had another plan that would make Kevin regret it.

Five minutes after Michael's departure, Kevin received an emergency call from someone.

"Mr. Kevin, your property warehouse in the city of 'X' is currently on fire."
