Nathan was about to get into the elevator when Annabel squeezed herself inside. He tucked his hands inside his pockets and moved away from her.

“So dingbat.” Annabel went on. “You didn’t give me a response earlier because you didn’t want those people to learn about your misfortune right? Now that’s it just the both of us, maybe you can start talking.”
