The Billionaire Forgotten Heir

Driving down his freshly graduated girlfriend’s school, Griffin Wright had a sweet smile on his face and his face was filled with satisfaction. 

    A life he had been waiting for!

    Griffin parked in front of his old school which he dropped out from three years ago and waited patiently for his girlfriend to come out~

    “ Wow! It’s really been 3 years! I can finally have her to myself now and we can start planning for our life together!” Griffin mumbled to himself and laughed heartily. 

    Griffin Wright hardly laughed and he was known by many as a cold type but when it comes to his babe, he would always laugh happily.

    “ Loving her has been the best thing I ever done. “ He mocked himself silently and chuckled. 

    Moments later... 

    “ It was worth it. I got a pretty girl in exchange for that.” He said and touched his heart playfully. 

    Griffin waited in front of the gate for hours and did not see his girlfriend. He was already getting worried and thinking about going inside to look for her when he saw her come out of the school entrance with a big smile on her face. 

   She looked so pretty in her party dress that he drooled and his heart raced. With dreamy eyes, Griffin smiled to himself before opening his car door and he stepped out

    “ Now! Let’s go welcome my bride!” He murmured happily. 

    “ Hmm...”

    He had his hands pocketed but the look on his face was absolutely godly as he walked toward his girlfriend while making girls drool for his good looks!

    “ Wow! Look at that guy! He’s so handsome!”

   “ I’ve never seen him in this school before. Is he here for someone?”

   “ The person he’s here for must be really special!”

   “ I want to be his girlfriend too!”

    The girls walking pass him could not hide their feelings as they kept drooling over him and commenting on his good looks but!

    “ This happens almost all the time but that’s only before they know about my empty pocket “ Griffin cried inwardly as he wasn’t so pleased with the fake comment the girls were giving him when they would always run away whenever they realized how broke he was. 

   “ Well... Here comes my babe!” He rejoiced. 

    “ Hi...” He wanted to greet his girlfriend but she just walked passed him without saying a word and what was worst? She acted like she did not see him at all while holding hands with another guy and acting all lovey dovey like the best couple in town. 

    “ What...” Griffin mumbled but his words were stuck in his throat as his hand was left hanging too. The hand he had stretched to welcome his girlfriend became stiff and he found it hard to drop it. 

   For a moment, Griffin was stunned. He couldn’t utter any word and his mind was blank! What was happening? He had no idea but one thing was obvious and that was the fact that his girlfriend was up to something suspicious and dirty!

   “ Charlotte Brown!” He yelled and the people around some distance away from him all turned their heads to look at him while Charlotte Btown and her guy also turned their heads to look at him. 

   He stormed toward Charlotte and shook his head in disapproval “ Charlotte, who is this?” He asked with a curious gaze but the reaction from Charlotte broke his heart and shook the little strength in him up!

   Charlotte looked at the guy  before resting her head on his chest. She closed her eyes as if to perceive his scent and a smile beamed on her plump lips “ My baby.” She replied coyly. 

   “ Baby? What’s happening here? What are you talking about?” Griffin knew he was being silly. He knew he was embarrassing himself as many people were watching them and some were already taking videos but he wasn’t in his right mind. 

    Charlotte broke the hug but had her hand wrapped around his waist as if to tell the world that he is hers and no one else’s 

    “ Let me introduce; This is Benedict Edward, my boyfriend and baby...” she introduced the guy before pointing at Griffin “ and this is Griffin Wright, well... I don’t know how to introduce him to you because he was always a fool and a nobody.” She explained and laughed shyly while the guy nodded his head. 

    “ What?” Griffin exclaimed. He couldn’t believe his ears!

   Benedict Edward cleared his throat and sized Griffin up, secretly mocking his cheap clothes “ Oh! This is that loser guy you always tell me about, right?” He asked and Charlotte nodded. He also nodded with a smile before taking a step forward and he stretched his hands forward as if he wanted to shake hands with Griffin but he immediately withdrew the hand and cleaned it with his napkin ~

    “ I can’t afford to dirty my hand by touching you, sorry. “ He said sarcastically and turned to face Charlotte. 

   “ When did all these start? We’ve been together for 6 years and all we showed each other was love. Why this?” Griffin questioned with his eyes red and sad. 

   Charlotte chuckled and clapped her hands “ Love? You and I shared love? Do you think I can manage this wretched life with you? Your money isn’t even enough to buy my dresses and you want me to stay with you? Well...” She said and paused. She stood on her toes and kissed Benedict “ I thought you would catch on since the last two years but you were just a fool who kept giving me money even when I did not need it. Look at that car, can you buy it? It’s worth 1 million dollars, can you afford the tire? Scram! You are nothing but a dirt in my life!” She cursed as she walked over to the car and Benedict opened the door for her while she stepped in. 

    Griffin ran his fingers through his hair and sighed “ But money isn’t happiness. Luxury things can’t buy happiness!” He mumbled as his voice was already failing him but he was trying all his best not to cry. 

    Was money really everything? “ I’ve been living this poor life just to provide for all your needs and this...” His voice failed. 

   Charlotte chuckled and Benedict closed the car door “ I’m happy when I’m in luxury cars.” She mumbled and winked as Benedict also winked at him before walking to the other side of the car and entered but not before opening his mouth to damage Griffin”s emotion~~

    “ You can’t expect to gain love with that rickety car of yours, dude!” He said and drove off.

   “ Wait! Charlotte!” Griffin wanted to call but his voice was long gone. “ She really left. She left like that because she now sees that I’m too poor for her?”

   Griffin watched the car drove off and he felt like his life had ended. He had dropped out of school three years ago when Charlotte’s family business failed, to cater for her needs and pay her expenses but this was how she was going to pay him?
