109. Javier Leaves Suddenly

"The food at this restaurant is really good! Maybe that's why my dad asked you to have a meeting here," Chloe said as she cut into her steak and ate it with gusto. She intended to catch Javier's attention and talk to him after their meeting was over, she was so happy that she could finally have dinner alone with Javier. But, unfortunately Javier didn't seem to care. He was just busy with his food and seemed to be daydreaming.

"Did you like the food too, sir?" asked Chloe, suddenly realizing that Javier wasn't answering her at all. She looked up and saw that he was just daydreaming. The happy expression on her face instantly changed, she rolled her eyes in annoyance that Javier wasn't paying attention to her at all.

"He must be thinking about his pathetic wife, why would he call her at a time like this?" Chloe grumbled. Even though this is her chance to get close to Javier, Javier's wife makes Javier's mood bad and Chloe's plan must fail.
