Chapter 1 (Genesis)

"You must remember Rob,family first,a man is examined by his ability to protect his or her family". These were the last words of Robert Diego manik to his first and illegitimate son Robinson before his assassination. Strength,hard work and love were the theme in the last words of his father.

Young Rob always felt he understood his father despite him only knowing him for a short time before his assassination. Very still their chemistry was strong and special.

The day of his father's assassination was still new and fresh like an open wound despite happening eight years ago. He was at the school football pitch with his teammates when he was being called out by his school coach. Minutes later he was informed that the only one that actually cares for him is dead.

It was meant to be a usual Tuesday like every other Tuesday in manik's family; Diego going to play golf,his stepmothers going to saloon to condition her hair and his step siblings heads out to school.

Rob's father, Robert Diego manik was a tall handsome man who cherished the values of hard work and family.He believed that family is power and not a weakness as many were meant to believe, perhaps it must be cherished.

He was the leader of manik's drug empire business,a business that span beyond the Freedonia border to different parts of the world. The Manik drug business dates back five generations ago. He was also the head of Maniks conglomerate,a business empire and the biggest organization on earth.

Diego was the first son and second child of three,his younger brother Lois,and elder sister Janet who were Rob's uncle and aunt respectively. The Maniks empire had always passed the prefix name "Rob" to the first sons of the leading family hence the five generational leader of the manik's family always beared the prefix name Rob.

The Manik's empire is legendary, exerting enormous power, wealth and influence both within and outside the border. They were viewed as one of the most powerful individuals, even the government feared and respected them.

They were however only rivalled by the Landstein family,a family drug cartel that also uphold all values and tenets that the maniks family stands for. Robert Diego assassination had always been credited to the Landstein's family due to their long feud rivalry and conflicts despite all this, the notion was viewed and accessed as speculations cause no evidence actually points to the Landsteins family but to everyone it was the Landsteins, they were the only one that seems to have the guts to go against the Manik's let alone their leader.

These two cartel families virtually controlled everything in Mexico including the government and the law enforcement agencies. Though they had enormous wealth and affluence, their drug business had always been a secret that only few individuals knew about. Their secrecy is largely attributed to their rules of operations, gentlemen principles, values and contracts. They also have massive companies, organizations and institutions that disguises the actual businesses of the two families.

It was not always a cat and dog relationship between the maniks and Landsteins, they use to be close allies and friends.

The conflicts and war started during the time of Rob's grandfather ,Robert Stark a natural violent figure back then and the Landsteins leader Chapi Landsteins' famously know as "El Chapito" who was know for his cunning and wicked reputation.

They disputed entirely over everything from production to distribution, power and then dominance."All is fair in love and war" this were words of Adolf Hitler which was employed by drug cartels during war and it resulted in loss of innocent lives and properties.

The war between these two families ranged from days to weeks to months and then to years. It then later resurfaced as cold war and was passed to their children, Robert Diego and Jamal landstein. Robert Diego was nothing like his father (Robert stark). Diego was relatively peaceful and did tried to foster peace between the two families.

He was ready to compromise somethings that he held dearly in order to achieve peace with the Landsteins but Jamal like his father,"El Chapito" was not a peaceful one. Jamal was an opportunist and a greedy fellow.He took advantage of Diego peaceful and gentle deposition to close up the wide gap between the two families.

Robert Diego was assassinated on his way to play golf.It was a daily routine for him every Tuesdays because He loved playing golf and was also a place to discuss business with his associates. On that day He had himself surrounded by his guards,the "Jacals",a family heritage guards of the Maniks family just as he usually does. He was shot by a mysterious sniper but he did not die instantly.

The "Jacals" life purpose had always been to protect the Maniks family. They dated back to centuries in the family of Manik and are now part of the their households. The first Jacal,sir Antonio was an Italian slave who was very skilled in every combat of life. He was slaved as an assassin for Markushi,the then chief and leader of the Razuko dynasty in Japan.

He was later gifted to Maniks family by Markushi

as a symbol of appreciation for their help in puting off competition from his rivals. Antonio served the Maniks as an assassin but was later promoted by the Maniks as they personal chief guard. Since then all the descendants of Antonio have been for the service of the Manik dynasty. The present Jacal in service for diego was General Maldini.

The Jacals were extremely trained in all forms of combat,they were formidable and legendary. They also had the ability to sense and detect danger from a far distance hence the Robert Diego assassination had always been seen as a mystery up to date. Manik's family in capturing the culprit had yielded nothing. Not that it will bring him back from death but they hoped that it will give them some sense of closure.

The Library Alarm bell rang and this jostled Robinson from memory lane. He checked his gold plated watch,it was 7pm,he couldn't believe it. He was inside the university library with the goal to read"a wasted time" he muttered to himself. That was the library last warning for the day reminding everyone that they came from somewhere.He packed his book lazily and proceed to the exit door.
