Bonding

Ashley and her mom was so happy to see each other. After a long time of holding and cheering, they finally let go of each other.

“How have you been?” The mother ask in tears.

“It has been tough mum” Ashley said looking so sad. “ It has really been tough on me the past few months.”

“Especially with the fact that I thought I don’t have a mother. It hurts me thinking that way but since that was what I was told and made to believe so I saw nothing wrong in it. I was made fun of in school and other places for not having a mother but I never thought for a second to question the narrative.”
