Water cultivation

SOUTHERN WING - PRINCE XI YUAN ✓

The sound of the cold water poured on Prince Xi Yuan brought him out of his deep sleep, "I will kill you eventually, Xu Ye!" His teeth clenched in anger of his servant disturbing his beautiful sleep.

Xu Ye turned back, trying to decide whether to inform the young prince or not. "The crown prince requests your presence." He breathed out, finally saying it.

Prince Xi Yuan's eyebrows deepened as he dusted his wet clothes, "Why, my presence? We have nothing to talk about." He muttered, requesting for a new set of clothes.

"We do have a score to settle." A ball of fire threw prince Xi Yuan down aggressively, breaking a table and Xu Ye gasped, what does the crown prince want this time?

Prince Xi Yuan struggled to stand up, blood trickled down the side of his busted lips. "What is the matter now?"

"There are rumors going on in the city, talking about you and the girl who would become my fiance in two days time ----" .....  "--- why?"

Before Prince Xi Yuan could say a word, he was lifted high with a little of the crown prince's cultivation and in the next second, he was flung to the corner of the room as his back connected with the already broken table.

The Crown Prince smirked, "You are even weaker than I expected, maybe the weakest. You aren't worth being called a cultivator."  A pause. "Let me not hear those rumors again." He turned and left.

"By the gods, Prince Yuan!" Xu Ye's eyes widened as he rushed towards the young prince. The floor was filled with blood, one of the broken tables had pierced the side of his stomach.

Tears stung Prince Xi Yuan's eyes as he held his stomach in pain. If he had cultivated powers, his stomach would have probably healed up by now and maybe he could have fought the crown prince.

The words of his brother, the Crown Prince princes', repeated in his head and mind at the same time.

"We have to get the wound treated by the physician." Xu Ye offered assistance but his hands got slapped away,

"I would never get treated by the physician without the emperor's edict and father mustn't know about it or I'd get whipped eighty times again." Prince Xi Yuan muttered, he didn't bother to hold his stomach again.

He moved away, "Don't follow me --- please."

Prince Xi Yuan pretended he was fine, walking in the palace but straightening his back was hard because of the stomach wound.

"I won't follow you but let me help you." He wasn't surprised to see Xu Ye again after his warning. This servant has been stuck with him since he was five years old.

Xu Ye helped the Prince up, to sit on the horse before placing the ropes in his hands. Prince Xi Yuan rode on a normal pace to a particular place that seemed abandoned.

The Empress Ren Xi Xia palace - she was the first empress and has been banished long ago but nobody knows if she is still alive or not.

Prince Xi Yuan stopped in front of the water that was very dirty. It is very wide and deep, his perfect choice. "You aren't worth being called a cultivator!" Xi Yuan grunted painfully and angrily.

He gently removed his bloody clothes, the trousers remained. The next second, he jumped into the water. At a corner, a dirty woman was looking at the scenario.

First, the water was still until it started to rumble, becoming light blue. The cloud got dark as if a heavy rain would fall soon, like a storm was coming. "The cultivation deity." The woman whispered, her breath shaking with fear.

Thunderstorms clapped, lightning struck, rain started to pour heavily, the storm started and all this while, Prince Xi Yuan had sunk deep into the water.

"Prince Xi Yuan!" Xu Ye shouted, running closer to the water after almost losing the prince on his way of following him closely. As soon as he got to the edge, the lightning threw him faraway.

"The water power is already activated." The woman whispered, covering her scattered hair with a long scarf. "We can only wait." She watched the activities of the water but she couldn't see the boy who drowned in it. There were two options; he might not survive or the deity fully awakened, will attack the city.

Everything happened so quickly. Devastating news traveled across the entire city. Humans and animals died, crops dried up, houses crumbled to the ground -- disastrous things happened within two hours and yet, the water didn't stop rumbling with force.

Inside the water, Xi Yuan had sunk to the very deepest part. His body fell to the middle of a cultivation system that has been locked for more than two thousand years. His hands and legs were apart, fixing towards the right place and a deep blue light shone.

Xi Yuan woke up underneath the water, looking around confusingly. He has never swam before. He expected he would be dead already. His eyes met with his laid down body and he gasped, was he really dead?

Looking around, there was a sword in between his bodied legs. Xi Yuan's legs moved, like something in the sword was calling him. The moment he removed the sword, about fifty water spirits rose up and attacked him. He flung the sword but it landed back in the original spot where it was removed.

Xi Yuan looked at it confusingly, what in the waters is happening here? He pulled it out again and one of the water spirits used his finger to raise the tip of the sword up, Xi Yuan was able to fling it.

All at once, they lined up in a circle with Xi Yuan's spirit right in between them. One by one, they taught him some moves for a long period of time which would be equivalent to four hours in the human world until they all disappeared and he was left alone.

Xi Yuan closed his eyes and started practicing what he just witnessed, he kept on practicing and practicing. Suddenly, the sword fell from his hand and he couldn't raise it up again.

"Fear....." The voice rumbled in the water while Xi Yuan breathed heavily, blood trickling down his nose.

"Fear of being weak!" The water rumbled again, like the movement of a snake monster in water.

"Who are you?" Xi Yuan managed to ask, one of his knees already on the cultivation system board.

"Take up Wen Tian and fight." Xi Yuan was confused once again, who the hell is Wen Tian?

The water rumbled and the sword in his hands started shaking. The sword possessed a red buttoned light as it picked up itself in Xi Yuan's hands, controlling him. Xi Yuan held the sword with his other hand, trying to stop it.

Xi Yuan's eyes widened, his hands shook on the sword vigorously. He looked at his chest where the sword just pierced. Xi Yuan gasped as blood gushed out of his chest and his mouth. He collapsed in the water.
