Chapter 10-The New Director

Stefan put the letter he got from the mysterious man into his suit. No one should know about this.

"I wanted to get some fresh air. It all happened so fast that I didn't have time to figure it all out."

Lena grabbed Stefan's wheelchair and pushed him close to the balcony railing. Stefan knew Lena was doing this on purpose.

"You know, I don't like lies. So, whatever happens, you have to tell me about it."

Stefan looked at Lena seriously. "Why don't you want to be the director? Please answer this question because I'm very curious. I don't want to die one day without getting this answer."

"You have no idea how dangerous that position is. It's more than just a drug dealer and a company leader. You'll meet people from mafia groups in Russia and do some business with them as well. If something goes wrong, those people will obviously look for the leader. And I don't want them to find and kill me if there's ever a mistake made by Solonik's Company."

"So, your company is a mafia group?"

"Yep."

Stefan turned his face aside. Being a director didn't make his life safe. Stefan's life was in danger every day at this rate.

"I want protection," Stefan said firmly. "I want a personal guard to protect myself."

"Okay, I'll set it up."

"I also want to live in the middle of the city. I want some assets in my name." Stefan needed all this so he could show off his success to his ex-wife.

"You're a little greedy. But that's no problem, I'll give you a penthouse, a personal car, an apartment building, and a personal salary from your job."

But Stefan knows that nothing is free in this world. There must be something he had to pay for all those facilities. "What do you want me to do?"

"You're starting to adapt now." Lena took a tablet out of her bag. "Bratva Company, I want you to destroy this company. Destroy it slowly and make sure it can't rise again. If you succeed at it, then I'll give you a new company."

This was a nice coincidence. Stefan didn't need to find another reason to use his current power for revenge against Dasha.

"I will do it. I will destroy the Bratva Company as you wish," Stefan replied.

"All right, I trust you. So I can leave this place at ease."

"Where are you going? Then how will you keep track of my performance if you leave?"

"I'll be gone for some time. So, I will entrust everything to you. All the decisions will be made by you. Then, when the time is right I'll come back."

"What if I make the wrong decision?" Stefan asked.

"Then you'll be dead." Lena laughed and left Stefan alone.

After Lena left the building, Stefan hit his hand to the balcony railing, causing his hand injury. "She really thinks of me as a puppet."

"Who told you to sign this proposal?" Stefan asked the marketing director. Stefan had been working since a week ago. And today he found an oddity in the company's financial report after analyzing it.

"No one Sir, I signed it myself. The former general director gave us the mandate to approve anything that we think will be beneficial to the company."

Stefan pound the table. "Now who's your director?"

"You, Sir."

"So who do you have to obey?"

The marketing director looked at Stefan with fear. "You, Sir."

"Then cancel the whole deal! I want you to break the deal with this company and make things right as soon as possible or I'll fire you."

Stefan couldn't hold back his anger. One person's mistake would lead to ruin. And that loss could threaten Stefan's life just like Lena had said.

Stefan's secretary came in and explained Stefan's schedule for today.

"Sir, today you will meet with the director of the Bratva Company at their restaurant. Are you willing to come?"

"Bratva?" asked Stefan once again. That was the name of Dasha's company. And if the director of Bratva wanted to meet her, then it was none other than Dasha.

"Schedule it at night."

Today's work went very quickly for Stefan. Either because he was so eager to meet the person who had humiliated him or because he was working too fast.

Stefan studied Bratva's company profile in the car on the way to the meeting. Thanks to the ring, Stefan was able to understand everything easily.

Unfortunately, when the car Stefan was driving went through a traffic light crossing, a truck from the opposite direction hit their car.

The car lost control and spun several times before rolling over.

Stefan dimly saw someone get out of the truck and approach him. Stefan's body was pulled out of the car and dragged into the truck.

"Sir, I got the target."
