Chapter 9-Ring From Mother

Stefan froze in place. Who knows if Stefan's decision turns out to be the key to someone's life.

The director of the Solonik Company died in front of Stefan's eyes. His blood even spilled on Stefan after Stefan agreed to take his position.

But a decision had been made by Stefan. It was his choice, so he had to live with it.

Now Stefan is a director. And this is the new start of his life and his chance for revenge.

Stefan rubbed his ring, he would protect it like he protected his life because he'd made it to this place because of it.

"You'll be attended the welcoming ceremony as the new director of the company. And you will become the leader of the Osmanov Gang," Lena said.

"Leader of the Osmanov Gang'?" asked Stefan. He just heard that.

"It's a gang that controls the drug trade in Moscow.

Do you think my father earned his wealth by running a company? Of course not. He also controls the drug trade in this region."

Right now it was best for Stefan to follow Lena's instructions. Besides the fact that he didn't know anything yet, following orders was a safe way to survive.

"All right, I'll accept the responsibility."

A woman entered the room with several guards and brought a set of clothes.

"Who are you?" asked Stefan.

"I'm your secretary in the future, Sir. And right now I'm bringing clothes for a welcoming ceremony you should attend."

Stefan accepted the clothes. Now all his needs would be prepared by his secretary, so he just needed to be a good puppet and obey.

Stefan got ready with the help of a few people as his wounds weren't healed yet. He also went to the venue with a wheelchair.

This time the venue was located in the center of the city, in a building owned by the Solonik Company that was usually rented out for weddings. So, no one would be suspicious if there was a big meeting in this building.

Stefan took a deep breath before his secretary drove his wheelchair into the building.

Everyone's eyes focused on Stefan. Everyone was confused because Stefan had come with Lena where Lena is supposed to come with the old director.

But even though everyone's eyes were on Stefan, it didn't dampen his confidence. The most important thing for a leader is to be confident.

"Attention everyone." Lena stepped up to the podium with Stefan at her side. "We are all gathered here to greet the new director of the Solonik Company."

Everyone whispered to each other. They still couldn't figure out what was going on.

"Let's give a warm welcome to director Stefan Prostakov, the man my father directly chose to be the new director."

There was silence after Stefan's announcement as the new director. But a few seconds later Stefan's secretary clapped which made everyone else clap too.

Stefan accepted the mic that was handed to him. It was time for him to show his power.

"Thank you everyone for being here tonight. I am the new director, Stefan Prostakov, and I will lead the Solonik Company in the future."

The applause grew louder. The employees had no choice but to support their new director. Because anyone who defied the boss would be kicked out.

Stefan led everyone in a toast. And for the first time he felt appreciated by others.

The dinner began. Stefan sat at the same table with all the executives of the company. But in the middle of the dinner, Stefan chose to leave.

Stefan pushed his wheelchair to the balcony on the top floor of the building.

From this balcony, Stefan had a clear view of Moscow.

In less than 10 days Stefan had done a lot. Fighting, killing, and getting a new position. None of this had ever crossed Stefan's mind.

Stefan looked at his ring. And suddenly it shined.

"Mom, I don't know if you gave this ring to me to protect me or to punish me. But I'm very grateful that I'm at this point. Help me get revenge on Dasha and her family, please."

Suddenly an arrow struck the wall next to Stefan. It shocked Stefan because the arrow almost hit him.

"Who is it!" Stefan looked around, but there was no one. Judging by the way the arrow stuck, it had come from the opposite building.

Stefan saw someone wearing a black coat jump from the building. When he looked down, no one had fallen.

His curiosity made him pull out the arrow and read the letter tied to it.

"What are you doing?"
