Chapter 2

As Jason was puzzling over the message on the screen that appeared in front of him, something suddenly crashed into his body.

A truck was speeding past when Jason refused to move out of the way. The truck had no time to swerve or brake, so the collision was unavoidable.

Jason was thrown by the impact. He felt his body floating off the ground, his vision spinning before going dark, just as his body hit something.

"Hey, someone just got hit by a truck!" One of the pedestrians exclaimed, calling for help to the others to check Jason's condition.

One of the people around, who happened to be a doctor, decided to help.

The doctor shook his head slowly. Jason's condition was really messed up with a lot of blood coming out of the wound from being hit. "Hurry up and call an ambulance, first aid alone won't help his condition!"

Those who happened to be around the crash site were immediately preoccupied with what had happened to Jason. Some panicked, while others stared with pity.

"What happened to me?" Jason thought to himself. He could still hear the voices around him. However, Jason couldn't answer or open his eyes.

As Jason's vision went pitch black, it was strange but surreal that the message on the screen that had previously appeared was now visible again despite his eyes being closed.

[The Super Rich system requires the Host's approval for installation. Does the Host allow?"]

"Allow." Jason said silently, he had no other thoughts but to immediately eliminate the message screen. The message screen that appeared in the middle of the darkness was quite annoying because it was blinding.

[Permission accepted, system installation will be performed ....]

[100%]

[Ding!]

[Success!]

[As a first installation reward, the system will fully restore the Host condition. Enjoy the reward and good luck!"]

"What reward ...."

Jason had yet to understand the reward in question when he lost consciousness completely. This made Jason think that something called the system was just a figment of his imagination.

After losing consciousness for quite a while, Jason finally managed to open his eyes. Jason found himself in a hospital room, visible from the IV tube that was now stuck in his wrist.

"What happened to me?" Jason muttered to himself. He tried to remember how he came to be there.

After trying to recall for a while, Jason finally remembered the conversation he heard before he lost consciousness. "Did I really get hit by a truck?"

Jason was a little doubtful about his memory. He didn't feel like his body was in bad shape. Instead, Jason felt fit and had never felt this healthy before.

Along with this, Jason also felt that there was something strange about his vision. Jason tried to feel his eye area, there were no glasses there. "I don't remember having vision this good before."

Jason felt that none of the things that were happening made sense, this led Jason's suspicion to something called the system as the cause of all this.

"System, are you here? Can you show up?" Jason asked, his eyes darting back and forth trying to find the existence of something that Jason initially thought was just a delusion.

[Ding!]

(What's up, Host?)

To Jason's surprise, the message screen reappeared without warning. Nevertheless, Jason tried to calm down as he realized that this thing called the system was only giving him an advantage.

Jason would still remember the system's last message before he lost consciousness, the message was related to his recovery and all of that was proven. In fact, his minus eye also healed just like it never suffered.

"System, did you cure my condition?" Jason asked, he wanted to make sure that his guess was right.

[Ding!]

[If you mean the first installation gift, then it was really me who gave it. This gift not only heals your condition, but also strengthens and repairs your body more than ever."]

" That's great." Jason thought. His eyes stared in awe at the message screen named system that came out of nowhere into his life. Jason felt both confused and happy about the system's presence, this made him feel a strange feeling, a feeling called hope.

Jason immediately guessed what else the system could do for him, especially when considering the name of the message which contained the element "Rich". This made Jason hope that there would be big changes in his life, including his economic condition.

Just as Jason wanted to find out more about the system's usefulness, the door to the room suddenly opened. A nurse emerged from the room and appeared to check on the patient's condition.

"Are you awake? How come?" The nurse looked at Jason in disbelief. Jason's condition should not allow him to wake up even in the next few weeks.

The nurse was sure how bad Jason's condition was when he first got off the ambulance, wounds everywhere, there were also deep injuries there. The nurse wondered, how could Jason's condition suddenly look so good as if he had never been sick before.

"There is nothing strange about your condition, the only oddity is your body's own healing ability, sir." The nurse said after finishing the examination, her expression completely filled with disbelief.

Jason scratched his head trying to find a reason. Judging from the nurse's expression, it was clear that his current condition was completely abnormal.

Jason nervously tried to calm the nurse who seemed to be about to faint, it seemed that this sudden recovery was the first time the nurse had seen with her own eyes.

"Nurse, calm down. Actually, my previous condition wasn't as bad as you thought." Jason said while holding the nurse's wrist to keep her from falling to the ground.

The nurse did not respond to Jason's words. She let go of Jason's grip. "I have to report this to the doctor. I'm sure the doctor will have a logical explanation," she said before leaving.

Knowing the doctor would be involved, Jason immediately got up from his bed. He didn't want to be used as an experiment or something just because of his sudden recovery.

Jason removed the IV tube in his hand before walking away, "I need to get out of here soon."

Jason skulked around, hoping no one from the hospital would recognize him as a patient there. After reaching the lobby, Jason lined up at the reception desk to pay his treatment bill.

The line slowly shortened until finally only one girl was left in front of Jason, so far nothing had happened, making Jason a little relieved. "Just need to wait for one more person until I can leave here."

Jason originally thought waiting for one person in the queue wouldn't take long, it wasn't until a few minutes passed that Jason felt it wouldn't be as quick as he thought.

The girl in front of Jason seemed to be having a long argument with the male receptionist. Both seemed very sure of their opinions, neither willing to budge.

"Miss, I have told you many times that your mother's surgery cannot be done before payment." The receptionist said in a slightly annoyed tone.

The girl in front of Jason looked deeply at the receptionist, frustration showing in her eyes, "I know, but are there really no exceptions? I will pay if I have the money, my mother's safety is the most important thing for now."

"No, Miss. If you really don't have the money, then I'll ask you to leave since you're stalling." The receptionist said while pointing at the receptionist's face. There is another person in line behind you." The receptionist said as he pointed towards the exit.

Jason initially didn't want to get involved in the receptionist's argument with the girl in front of him, after all Jason was on the run for being used as an experimental object there. However, Jason's intention changed once he recognized the girl in front of him, "Brena?"
