The rest of the week and the week after passed in what seemed to be a blur. And soon the day of the trial came. The courtroom seemed to spin around him at that point. He could feel more and more sweat gathering at his forehead. As soon as they were back from the court, the maid gently walked Chloe back to the inside. There was a sombre atmosphere now. It was very quiet and everyone knew what was going on. The next day, Cage decided that he would go and see Zo who was still awaiting trial. At least, this was the only time he could be allowed to see the man who saved his life, so it would be a very good opportunity especially to know if there was anything else Zo wanted to tell him before his trial. Chloe felt a bolt of shock after he had said it but she was surprised at the fact that he had turned the whole thing on her now and she was the person who was apologising when she should be the one. But she knew how her father could act at times, so it would be better to be safe than sorry.She made a mental note not to say anything rash or anything that would make his anger rise but she was definitely determined to be to the bottom of it all.
