CHAPTER THIRTY THREE

Owen had just left James' house, his security guards had been annoyed by the time he wasted there but they couldn't make any objections. He could clearly see the annoyance on their faces but since none of them said a word, he just walked to the car while one of the men opened the door and he got in, closing the door after him.

The rest also stepped into their various cars, taking their positions before they started their journey. Maria had called him about three times while he was there and although he had assured her that everything was fine, he knew she would be dead worried.

The car was quiet and Owen knew that the guards were not too happy so he decided to make it up to them on their way home. James's home seemed to be a little far from the city and they drove for a while before they saw a bar in the middle of a street.

“Pull up” he said and he could see the way the driver's face scrunched up in annoyance. He slowed down before pulling up at the road
