CHAPTER THIRTY FOUR

Owen squinted his eyes as the bright rays of the sun shone directly at his eyes. He opened his eyes in one swift movement and took a deep breath before getting on his feet.

He tried yo get up from the couch but he found it hard to. His whole body hurt and he felt weak, it felt as if he had undergone some hard labour and he could only massage his shoulders.

He didn't even know which one he hated most at the moment. The headache that was wracking his temples at the moment or the weakness he felt in all the parts of his body. He massaged his aching temples as he tried to recall what had happened the night before.

He remembered going into the bar but he couldn't remember coming out. He didn't even know how he got home but he knew that it would have been the work if the guards.

He had said he wouldn't drink much but as soon as he tasted the drink, the weight of all his problems dawned on him and he let himself fall in the moment.
