“It’s been fifteen minutes since the wolves left,” Benjamin said. “I think we can step out now.”

“How do you know that a few of them are not hiding from our sight?” Shawn said. “They could be on top or under this jet, for all we know.”

“If it’s one or two, then we can easily scare them away with our numbers,” Benjamin said.

His words made sense, but nobody said anything.

“We have to get the pilots, or we’ll be stuck here,” Benjamin said. “Isn’t it strange that nobody came to help us even though so many wolves attacked us?”

His words made everyone think. Jacob was already doubting what happened, and Benjamin’s words only strengthened that doubt.

“Now that you said it…” Shawn was also having the same doubt, but the women didn’t think the same.

“Are you saying that they let the wolves free to attack us?” Rebecca asked. “Why the hell would they do that?”
