Chapter 6

"Hey, Mr. Manager, are you going to fire me as well?" One of the employees inquired humorously as everyone laughed at Scot.

They all take him as a joke or to be more precise, they take him as a laughing stock.

"I promise that you all will lose your jobs today," Scot remarked, his face expressionless.

Everyone continued laughing at how silly he sounded and continued to humiliate him. He ignored the lashes and urged Jason and the security guards to leave the office and never return.

"Who are you to tell me what I ought to do?" Scot was aggressively pushed by a member of these security crew.

Scot ignored him and repeatedly shook his head.

A coworker stepped towards the receptionist table then asked in a mocking tone. "How can a common cleaner sack me?" everyone burst out laughing loudly at Scot.

They took him for a cleaner, and he just can't wait to show them that the person who they take for a cleaner is more than just a mere cleaner

Jane was embarrassed by Scot.

Jason, on the other hand, continued to make jokes at Scot alongside his co-workers.

"You're a loser, Scot; you don't have a job, a house, or a family," Jason stated as he grinned at Jane.

Jason and Jane were literally finding a whole lot of pleasure in making him their laughing stock and everyone laughed in response to Jason's recent statement.

"How can that be?" A member of the staff asked slowly.

"That's correct! Scot is unable to retain his lady.” Another employee commented as he bend over, slapping his legs and laughing loudly.

Everyone laughed as each of them made a joke of his situation.

Scot could not travel from one location to another without being insulted.

Scot's mood shifted in an instant. Inside, he became increasingly emotional and enraged. He resisted revealing his new identity to the staff but he was having a second thought about it.

'I can't tell them who I am just yet,' Scot's inner whisper to him.

Jane moved towards where Scot was held by the security men, she gave him a look of disgust.

"Scot, stop embarrassing yourself and leave right now!" Jane excalimed to Scot.

Everyone kept talking about Scot like he was nobody; they all saw him as an unhappy impoverished man, but little did they know that he have the power to do anything to them.

"He couldn't make his wife happy in in every way, that's why she moved on to Jason, the capable man" one of the employees said aloud.

The mocking laughter continued and it made Scot was really mad. He managed to release himself from the hold of the security men then dashed towards the direction of the staff and shoved him to the ground. Scot was about to attack the employee on the ground when everyone gathered.

"Get out Scot before I throw you out myself," Jason roared, his face heated.

Scot gave Jason a sarcastic smile while shaking his head.

"You scumbag" Scot spoke so deeply, his voice laced with venom.

He was furious at the notion of everything Jason had done to him.

"When we were in university, you had nothing, so I took care of you as a brother." Scot's eyes were filled with tears.

"Is this how you pay me back?" Scot yelled angrily, tears streaming down his cheeks.

Jason gazed at Scot irritably, as though he were covered in muck. He tightened his belt and approached Scot.

"You're the jerk here," Jason shouted.

"You came here begging for a job, which I gave you, and now you're here saying nonsense," Jason said.

Everyone was staring at Scot and Jason, who were yelling at each other.

"This is like a movie," one of the employees said, smiling.

Scot's rage grew as he gazed at Jason with his head lifted.

Scot shouted, "You gave your own friend a job as a cleaner after I begged you for something better." It seemed almost as if Scot and Jason were going to collide like two fast cars.

"As if that wasn't enough, you took my wife away from me," Scot raged.

Jason burst out laughing as he heard the statement.

"I did not force your wife to leave you. She left because she didn't think you were good enough for her…" before Jason could finish his remark, he was hit hard by Scot's fist. The punch sounded like a bass drum, and everyone in the office was taken aback.

Jason's mouth began to bleed so Scot moved closer to where and held him by the collar.

"I command you to leave this office and never return" Scot said in a demanding tone then Jason pushed him and delivered a punch hard on Scot’s cheek.

As the fight escalated, everyone gathered swiftly and attempted to separate the two men. Jason managed to push Jason away from himself then he commands the security to kick Scot out.

"Get this jerk out of here." Jason spats angrily.

The security guards instantly obeyed the instruction, but Scot fought against them.

"I'm your new boss and you will all regret your actions," Scot yelled as he continued to struggle with the security guards.

Because Scot was resisting, the security guards began to beat him severely. Scot was roughed up, but he refused to give up.

"Oh, Scot," Jane murmured quietly, "Just leave and save yourself the trouble." Jane grew emotional when she saw Scot in his current situation. She begged Jason and the security guards to be gentle with Scot, but they all disregarded her.

Scot continued to resist and yell.

"You will all regret your actions," Scot roared as loud as thunder, his mouth dripping with blood.

The news of what was going on in the reception area had spread across the corporation, including Mr. Donald, who had heard about it.

Jason and the security guards continued to struggle to evict Scot from the company, but Scot resisted. Everyone was merely staring, unaware of Scot’s true identity.

The security guards continued to slap Scot and tell him to leave the premises.

"Leave this place before we kill you here," shouted one of the security guards.

"Leave this place now before we deal with you here," said the second security guard.

Scot refused and remained firm.

As they continued to struggle and drag, a voice from upstairs yelled, "Stop it!"
