Chapter 45

Damien and Joanna stayed up throughout the night on the balcony. All they did was watch the moon as they ate popcorn, which Damien had prepared in five minutes. They poured themselves some juice as they sat side by side with each other.

Joanna told him everything that had happened at the banquet. Right from the moment Joanna stepped into the banquet hall, she knew there was going to be commotion as she spotted Phil among the crowds. Her mistake was that she forgot what had happened at his party.

She knew he was still keeping all that happened in his heart and was waiting for the right time to get back at her. Most of the time, Joanna tried to avoid him, but what could she do in an enclosed space and a man watching her every move?

It made her uncomfortable, but she tried to hide it and followed Sarah wherever she went so she would not be left alone. Unfortunately, Sarah had her own thing and could not stick around all the time, so for a few minutes, Joanna was left alone.
