Chapter Fifty Three

Keith had learned to be self reliant and fend for himself from a young age. Yes, his family was financially buoyant but they had been lacking in more ways than it could be counted. He couldn't remember much about the times he spent with his parents but he would never forget the irreplaceable hole in his heart they caused with their absence. His parents had been busy people, always going from one business meeting to another, and rarely spent time at home, so they would leave Keith all alone in the big house. Of course, he had the company of the workers and his nanny but none could ever make up for their absence.
