Chapter five

"Please, stop, Tonia," Jason pleaded, he was already feeling bad. Tonia came to have a short break from school stress now she's met with this because of him.

"What are you still doing here? Just get the

fuck outta here now!" Mrs. Kim barked.

"Auntie, I had respected you enough, please don't raise your voice at me. I’ll leave this prison of a house but I have to see my uncle first,” Tonia said.

"Look around, do you see any trace of your uncle?" Mrs. Kim asked and Tonia shook her head.

"Well, I'm glad you know, your uncle is not here so you don't have any right to be here either," Zoey said with no sense of arrogance.

"Please forgive her!!" Zoey pleaded.

"You fool, if I hear your voice again, I will shut myself, do you think we are done with you?" Zoey asked angrily.

"Auntie, I came to discuss important things with my uncle. If I leave now, I might not get the chance to see him again, this is very important to me. I can't afford to miss this opportunity." Tonia said.

"Are you begging you? Miss, tough girl. No matter what you do, my words are final, you're not going to insult me and remain in my house. Just leave already!" Mrs Kim stressed.

"No, no, you can't deny me this chance!" Tonia said.

"Are you still challenging me? Zoey, please call security, and get this fool out of my house. I can't stand her anymore!" Mrs Kim stated.

"Okay Mommy, we’ll do that right away," Tonia said and left.

While Zoey was gone, Jason began to feel deeply sorry for Tonia. He didn't know what Tonia wanted to discuss with Mr Garrison but from the look of things it seemed very important to her.

Tonia began to plead, trying to explain things but no one was giving her a listening ear.

"Please Auntie, don't do this to me, I came here because I have an important matter I wanted to discuss with Uncle, it's just that I just can't stand to see Jason being maltreated. It hurts me a lot,"

The more Jason listened to Tonia, the more upset he got but there was nothing he could do. Absolutely nothing, his hands were tied, and the only thing he could do

was to stand there and watch them. Even if he wanted to do something, what would he do? He was not in the right position to defend himself either.

He warned her about this, but she still insisted on helping him, now he felt stupid for not standing by her side. Tonia was brave and Jason wished he would be able to be as brave as she was one day.

As Jason was battling within himself, feeling sorry for Tonia and disappointed in himself, Zoey walked in with one of the security personnel in their house. She pointed at the sobbing Tonia, instructing the security to take her out.

Tonia raised her head and gazed pitifully at Jason who turned his head away from her out of embarrassment.

"That's the idiot causing noise in this house, get her out of here!" Mrs Kim stated and immediately the security swung into action. He grabbed her hands and began to pull her but Tonia shouted that her luggage was upstairs. Mrs. Kim quickly asked Jason to go get it. And when Jason rushed back, carrying Tonia’s luggage. Zoey dragged it out of Jason and threw it on the floor. “Here’s your dirty luggage. Pick it up and get the hell out of our house.” Zoey stated.

Tonia slowly picked up her luggage on the floor and glanced at Mrs Kim and Zoey. “You don't have to bark like dogs, I’ll leave but just know that your karma is fast coming, and when it comes, I pray it consumes you, in the worst way possible, because you deserve worse than a nightmare," Tonia remarked, staring directly at Mrs Kim.

Feeling the heat of Tonia’s words, Mrs. Kim yelled, "Get the hell out!"

Jason was in tears and wanted to run away but Tonia’s hand held him back. And Jason quickly looked away. Tonia noticed that he was feeling guilty and tried to comfort him.

"Jason, this is not your fault, you are unfortunate to have met these wicked people. So don't feel sorry for

me, and also try to stand up for yourself because the world is a wicked place," Tonia said, cleaning the tears with the back of her palm.

She frowned at them, hissed, and then walked out of the room and out of their house.

Jason wept as he stared at her back until she got out of sight. The only person who would’ve made him feel loved was gone because of him.

As Jason was sobbing, Zoey walked up to him and poked him, he flinched and glanced at her. “Have you been having a secret affair with my cousin? You too were going intimate under my roof,” Zoey’s accusations caused Jason’s eyes to widen in shock.

“How could you say a thing like that? I have never seen Tonia or looked at her like that. Please, Zoey, don't think that way. It's not true.” Jason defended.

Mrs. Kim punched Jason and urged him to stop lying. “I will keep an eye on you, Jason. This house will be hell on earth for you. Since you brought your girlfriend to this house to challenge me.”

Zoey laughed. Enjoyed what they were doing. Jason didn't say any more words, he didn't want any more issues or worse, get beaten.
