Chapter six

Jason got to his space and quickly headed for his bed. He was seriously hungry a while ago but due to what had happened, he had completely lost his appetite. How could he be comfortable when Tonia was kicked out of there because of him? Jason had regretted allowing Tonia to help him. But at the same time, happy to see someone stand up for him, someone who cares for him.

Jason tried to sleep to forget his pain and the deep pain he felt. Finally, he fell into a restless sleep. He tosses left and right on his bed, sweating profusely until he jolts up from sleep.

The incident that had happened made it so difficult for him to sleep. His mind kept going wide with thinking. He closed his eyes and prayed for his life to change. Jason was tired and fine with the way he lived. He imagined himself surrounded by wealth and dealing with wicked people. In his thoughts, he fought for the weak and punished those who caused people pain including the Garrison family.

Jason was in his thoughts when the alarm clock rang. It was yet another tension and uncertainty. He didn't know what to expect as every day in the house brought different problems.

Jason woke up hungry, tired, and confused. He knew that he was supposed to go to work but how would he go? Knowing that he wasn't fit to walk to the hotel, “Da Villa Garden Hotel. Where he worked.

This was a job that took him time and effort to get. He prays he doesn't lose it. As Jason was about to stand up, his eyes caught his golden ring close to his bag. He had had this ring right from the orphanage.

Jason didn't know how the ring came back but it looked beautiful. The gold sparkles and the way they designed it were exquisite. He walked up to the ring and picked it up. And exclaims “Wow! Admiring every bit of its beauty. “What are you? And how did you get into my hands? I haven't seen anything like you before. Even amongst the richest people I’ve met.” he expressed.

While Jason was admiring it, he noticed a black dragon on the side, it was fixed like they were trying to hide it. Jason continues to watch it, trying to solve the mystery behind it. After trying for a few minutes and he couldn't make something out of it, he gives up and gets ready for the day. He didn't want any more punishment.

However, Zoey woke up, surprisingly happy. For the first time, she made her bed, freshened up, and quickly went to the kitchen to make breakfast. Her best friend was visiting and she wanted to make sure she was very comfortable.

Her friend Ella, also came from a wealthy home and Zoey was doing everything to maintain a good friendship with her for the betterment of her family. As she was making breakfast, Mrs. Kim walked downstairs and called her.

"Zoey, baby."

"In the kitchen Mom, please can you come here?." Zoey inquired.

Mrs. Kim went to the kitchen and sat on the island. Admiringly gazing at her daughter. Zoey turned and met her mother’s gaze, she grinned and greeted her.

"Good morning Mom." Mr. Kim responded, "Morning, you look so cheerful today, is it because your friend is visiting?” Zoey nodded, cheerfully.

Mrs. Kim smiled, Thank you for holding and maintaining this friendship. It was from this friendship that this family could eat and cover up shame. Don't forget, you’ll be bringing her from the airport."

"I know Mom and that's the reason I woke up early, just leave me to get ready and I'll go. And Mom, you don't have to thank me, everything I’ve done is for the betterment of this family and if I got the chance to do more, I wouldn't hesitate to do it. I love you mom."

Zoey’s words made Mrs. Kim so emotional. "I love you too, my darling daughter. I and your father are very grateful. Okay, enough of all these emotions, hurry up before she waits too long for you." Mrs Kim said, kissed Zoey on her forehead, and left.

When Mrs. Kim left, she didn't head to her room, she went straight to Jadon’s space. She just hates seeing Jason free. If she got the chance, Jason would work round the clock non-stop.

She urged him to get up and do his chores of course, not without an insult.

Jason managed to get up even though he was shaken by the lack of food and energy. And he began to clean the living room as usual.

As Jason was cleaning, he heard footsteps and quickly he turned to see who it was. He was surprised to see Zoey carrying a tray of food. “Has she been cooking? Hmm… that's new.” Jason thought. Still looking at them and wondering what was going on. To avoid problems, he greeted Zoey, “Good morning, Zoey.”

Instead of answering, she chooses to shun her.

"I don't need your greetings, I don't want to experience bad luck today,” She snapped.

Her words did not affect Jason as he was already used to it, he didn't know how to please her. The next minute, she's fighting him over not greeting her and now she doesn't.

Such a problematic girl.

"We're expecting a guest. So do well to tidy up everywhere and make sure everything is sparkling clean. And when our guest arrives, you will not upset her or disrespect her. You will obey all that she instructed any day you get her angry, that would be the end of you. Do you understand?”

Jason nodded his head, with a slight bow. “ Yes, Ma’am, I understand," Jason replied.
